Terry Fox Run Tomorrow
Just a reminder to parents that tomorrow we will be joining in with the base tomorrow on their annual Terry Fox Run. As grade 2 students we will not be doing the big 10k; however, we will be doing our own version of the walk! We will be doing the Martineau loop and joining up with the older kids and military members for a BBQ at the JJ Parr. We are looking for each child to bring 1$ to cover the cost of the BBQ where funds will be going to support cancer research. It should be a great day so please remember to dress appropriately, it's supposed to be a warm one!
Math Activities
On another note I thought I'd post a few pictures from one of our math lessons from this week! The kids really loved this one, we worked together in groups to solve silent puzzles. The students, without saying a peep (VERY hard for second graders, let me tell you!) did their very best! They had to work together to solve the puzzle and then record what the picture on the puzzle was. Here are some pics!
