Remembrance Day

We had our Remembrance Day ceremony on Thursday and our students were on their best behaviours. Thank you to our amazing speakers. I hope everyone had the opportunity to attend a ceremony and/or took a moment to appreciate those amazing people who have and still are fighting for a better world.

"The concept is simple; after each student completes their assigned reading minimum within a month’s time, teachers may enter the class into a draw to receive complimentary hockey tickets donated by local businesses." And it's official! Our students have been entered into this months draw and it's all because of the amazing reading they've been doing in their nightly reading journals, keep it up so we can enter every month and we'll keep our fingers crossed!

We had a great first day of swimming lessons on Thursday. I came across a few forgotten towels and bathing suites in the hallway at the end of the day on Thursday so please make sure your grabbing your things at the end of the day! This week we will be swimming on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1-2.

It's almost that time! Report cards will be going home on Monday, November 18th and interviews will be taking place on Wednesday, November 20th. If you are interested in coming in for interviews they will be starting at 4:00 and will be by appointment so please call the school in advance to schedule a time. Interviews will be 10 minutes in length. Hope to see you there so we can discuss your child's progress so far this year!

** Spelling words for this week are posted under the Language Arts section!
